Films can be fact or fiction. For example:
A story about a girl/boy (person) who could/couldn’t keep a secret – an exploration/lesson into the moral/ethical lessons of keeping secrets. Or Not!
The best-kept secret in Auckland is that OTT patisserie in Birkenhead has the best pistachio eclairs on the planet!
Another well-kept secret is the fact that Kaipatiki had Its very own Glow Worms? Not many people know that, and that’s the way the Glow Worms like it 🙂
The spire on the Highbury mall is actually a communication tower for a top-secret spy agency – whoops not so secret anymore!
A Definition of Secret
To further inspire your creative juices, we have selected a few examples of the definition of ‘secret’ from the Cambridge University Press website
the particular knowledge and skills needed to do something very well:
– So what’s the secret of being a good cook?
a piece of information that is only known by one person or a few people and should not be told to others:
– Why did you have to go and tell Bob about my illness? You just can’t keep a secret, can you?
a piece of information that is not generally known or is not known by someone else and should not be told to others:
– We don’t keep secrets from each other.
– Don’t tell anyone – it’s a secret.
an important piece of information that only a few people know and that should not be told to anyone else:
– The ingredients of the drink are a closely-guarded secret.
We hope that you have fun and look forward to your creative interpretation of this year’s theme – Sssshhh, mums the word!
Still Short on Ideas…
Remember, films can be fact or fiction – or a bit of both…
