Competition Guidelines and Key Dates

The student film competition, Short Shorts, is open to all primary, intermediate and secondary school students, on the condition that:

  1. there is a ‘connection’ with Kaipatiki
  2. the film is filmed in and of Kaipatiki
  3. the name Kaipatiki features in the film

For the purpose of this competition, we will use the map below to define Kaipatiki. If you are unsure, please ask.

There is no limit on the number of entries, however, in each instance, acceptance will be at the sole discretion of the competition administrator.

To enter, each entrant (school or individual) must first, register and in doing so signifies that they have read and accepted the terms and conditions of the competition.

Films must be a minimum of three minutes and a maximum of five minutes in length.

Each film must contain the word Kaipatiki and be based on the theme “To be advised.

Films must be submitted by to be advised 2021.

Each entrant (those directly involved with each film) will be invited to attend the awards presentation and ceremony at LOCATION and DATE to be confirmed, where all finalist films will be shown on the big screen. All prizes will be announced on the night.

Please ensure that all release forms are completed and that the film credits and titles are free of spelling errors before you submit your film.
